Storytelling Workshop: 12th Nov, 1.30pm

Share your stories and experience of community-led planning, hear the experiences of others and learn more about our project. SIGN-UP HERE!

We are now just over 6 months into the Spaces of Hope project, and approaching the end of phase one, the scoping stage. We have been able to interview 24 key stakeholders and delve into a number of key resources (Community Action magazine, the TCPA and National archives), alongside publicising our call for evidence.

The storytelling workshop builds on this work. It is open to everyone with experience of and interest in community-led planning. We have also targeted invites at people whose activities have cropped up in our research so far. As such, we hope that the event will be an opportunity both to highlight new stories and learn more about those we already know something about.

In allowing us to begin to reflect on these together, the event is an important stepping stone to the next stages of our research: the selection and investigation of a number of case studies, dissemination and collective discussion of these. It is also an opportunity for us to tell you more about what we have done so far, and for you to tell us what you think of what we plan to do next.

The event will take place digitally, via Zoom at 1.30pm on the 12th of November. Please sign-up using this link.

In advance of the event we are asking participants to share an image that speaks to their experience of CLP. These will be compiled in a slideshow and can help facilitate our discussion. Please send these, or any questions, to contact@peoplesplans.org. The plan for the afternoon is as follows:

  • 1.30pm – Welcome, introductions, CLP slideshow
  • 1.45pm – About Spaces of Hope
  • 2pm – Storytelling circles (small groups)
  • 3pm – Coffee break
  • 3.15pm – Sharing key reflections and thinking about next steps (plenary)
  • 4pm – Finish
